Although we are aware of this, it’s easy to forget to do it clean from day to day. This problem wants Microsoft to address in a new patent that uses UV light to disinfect the touch screens.

In a blog post telling Microsoft to “over falls on pressure monitors are filled with fingerprints and other residues which can potentially carry infectious agents. Frequent use and exchange of disease between user and device, device and user and users are a significant problem. ”
