HootSuite Seesmic Purchase Eye on Users with Cash

Two firms so dependent on the ecosystem Twitter announced an agreement on Thursday. The HootSuite directly from Canada, decided to buy the company Seesmic, is based in Silicon Valley, for an undisclosed amount. They want to attract Seesmic customers to the largest company and let ordinary users out of the play – they should manage profiles by own Twitter and Facebook, as the site says TechCrunch.

Over 4 million users not log on HootSuite to manage accounts in social networks. How many of them pay for the service remains a mystery. The CEO of HootSuite said he did not know how much the customer base will increase with the acquisition of Seesmic. However, he said that the transaction has more to do with users than with Seesmic technology – which does not make any sense; They should have the number off the tongue.

A recent change in the API Twitter may have led to the agreement. The service microblog warned that new applications have limited number of users. It’s no secret: Twitter wants to control more properly what the twitterers do. Apps give options hinders that goal.

However, specialized tools have their importance. They help companies to organize strategies and to have figures to show later, to say the least. HootSuite (with Seesmic) focuses this consumer. Only way to increase faturamente without reaching the limit of registered users for the app.

The CEO of HootSuite explained that one of the tool’s advantages with regard to the various supported networks. The same application gives to manage Twitter and Facebook, something that no native tool Twitter ever provide.
