The Marmot Plasma 30 sleeping bag is one of the lightest among the ones we have seen recently, but also one of the most expensive. The coating is very good and its strengths derive mostly from comfort. Overall, it is one of the best sleeping bags that we had in my hands lately, but its use is limited to mountain activities in the summer. For a warmer climate, it is an excellent sleeping bag that can also be used in other seasons.

Characteristics of mountain Marmot Plasma 30 sleeping bag.

The Marmot Plasma 30 gives an extra security with waterproof system “Down Defender” or “Army version”.

The outer material Pertex Quantum was able to dribble away the dew that had formed during the night.

The Insotect system that allows you to spread the heat from the center towards the outer part. This was not actually seen, but we didn’t really fault details of the system, such as cold spots inside the bag.

Lightweight and high-quality materials enable Plasma 30 sleeping bag to have small size even when closed.

Marmot also provides a nylon bag that reduces the lot the size of a watermelon, medium.

Marmot Plasma 30 sleeping bag is the hottest and sure we tried: ensures a high thermal insulation, with a comfortable hood that does not tighten while you are sleeping. The convenient trapezoidal shape of the foot area allows to keep them well in the heat. The outer fabric Pertex Quantum blocks out the wind.

The Marmot Plasma 30 does not correspond to our expectations for a sleeping bag suitable for all seasons, especially in the mountains, because there is enough insulation. Apart from this, it is an excellent sleeping bag, not cheap but also by lone characteristics, with exceptional materials and a construction and quality worthy of the Marmot.
